Our 15th annual fundraiser, “Boogie for Bucks” for the La Costa Canyon High School is fast approaching. Mark your calendars for a fun and groovy casual evening with the Atomic Groove at our very own local tavern, the Belly Up ion Solana Beach! This evening will have everything! Disco (and other) dancing, delicious dinner, and awesome auction and radical raffle opportunities! With reduced ticket prices and a casual and fun atmosphere, we hope you will all come “Boogie” for a good cause!
As you know, Kyle Ruggles recently provided us an update and he has growing concerns about added cuts to his operational budget. This is expected to have major impacts on many current needs at our school. This annual event provides for the supplemental resources needed to ensure that our school remains strong and provides our kids with a great educational experience.
We are in need of help collecting and soliciting auction items, which are truly the primary source of our fundraising revenue. Ask your friends, neighbors, the places you frequent! This is a tax deductible contribution! Do you have a special talent you can share? A great idea?
Past ideas include:
- Lobster Party at your house
- Private “Day on the Bay” sailboat rides
- Ski and Lake Cabins
- Private Cooking Classes
- “Wife” for a day – A concierge service
- Handymen for Hire – Group of men who spent a day doing work for the winning bid!
- Think outside the box!
