The Athletic Boosters group is made up of parents, friends, teachers, administrators, coaches, alumni, and businesses committed to enriching athletics at LCCHS.   The Boosters provide volunteer support to the coaches and school administration, promote school spirit and sportsmanship at all events, and provide substantial funding for over 1,000 students who participate in 29 sports at La Costa Canyon High School.  Each sport has an Athletic Boosters Liaison who works directly with the coach to identify funding needs and provide program support and coordination.

Many student athletes from LCC have received sports scholarships from colleges including  UCLA,  Notre Dame, Duke, UCSB, and the University of Oregon.

Whether a student pursues sports beyond high school or enjoys the camaraderie and pride of being a Maverick athlete, LCC Athletics plays an important role in the lives of our students and in the community.

Funding for the sports program at LCC is through direct donation to a specific sport, or by participation in the Annual Maverick Golf Tournament.  Held each year at the beautiful Spa and Resort, the tournament provides funding for the general Athletic Booster fund.
