Cutbacks in state funding have hit arts programs particularly hard.  Without the support of the Foundation, resources available to students have been cut to the bare minimum. 

During the 2008-2009 school year, the Foundation provided over $35,000 in grants and designated donations to the Visual and Performing Arts programs at LCC.  Without this support, students would be without basic supplies and equipment such as clay, paper, music, instruments, and other resources. 

  Plans for the current year are to formalize a Visual & Performing Arts Booster Organization.  Under the guidance of the LCC Foundation, this group will meet regularly to identify needs and develop fund raising plans and goals to meet the growing needs.
