Dear LCC Parent,

First of all, welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.  I am the new President of the LCC Foundation.  I am an LCC parent and have a daughter going into her sophomore year at LCC, and a son that will be attending LCC in two years.  With the funding cuts this year, I am asking each and every parent for their support to help our Foundation make a significant difference for our students and teachers by making a donation to the LCC Foundation.

LCC is a great school in many respects, with the additional funding from past parent donations, the Foundation has been able to provide special equipment, supplies, upgrade technology, provide grants for student groups and teachers and much more.

The essentials to run a “California Distinguished School” are numerous.  This year, we welcome a new principal, Kyle Ruggles, to our school, and we need to give him the financial support he needs to run a great school.  We have established a Technology Task Force to upgrade and provide state-of-the-art equipment and software to better prepare our students for college and the ever-changing work force.  We have an Academic Booster organization to coordinate funding needs for each and every department on campus to ensure the money you donate goes to the greatest need.

Please use the Foundation donation form that outlines different levels of support. It also includes the opportunity to purchase a student directory.  The Student Directory is a great source of information about the school, as well as contact information for other students and parents at LCC.
